This wine offers a truly surprising bouquet that's bound to polarise – it's a love-or-hate affair. The nose is an unusual blend of wormwood, boiled nettle, fried sesame, raw pumpkin seeds, wax, and lychee jam.
In contrast, the palate is much calmer, which might be disappointing given the dramatic nose-to-palate shift. It's off-dry, with a round and serene taste. Some might critique the sweetness level as too high and find it lacking in acidity, but I find it quite balanced and interesting. The long aftertaste carries mint candy flavours, adding to its uniqueness.
Overall, it's an intriguing wine – not exactly my style and perhaps ridiculously priced, but nonetheless a commendable one.
